Relive ATSSA’s 2024 Convention through Convention Extra

Special Section features awards, events and tips from history maker Carey Lohrenz

ATSSA’s 2024 Convention & Traffic Expo soared to new heights with record-breaking attendance and a history-making keynote speaker sharing  her exploits as the Navy’s first female F-14 fighter pilot.

Carey Lohrenz highlighted keys to success in her high-risk occupation, which translated directly for leaders in roadway safety. She talked about the importance of courage, tenacity and doing the right thing and later delivered rapid-fire answers to attendees at the Women in Roadway Safety luncheon about how to succeed in a male-dominated field.

ATSSA’s Convention in San Diego featured national awards, a government and legislative insights forum featuring National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) Chair Jennifer Homendy, and countless opportunities to learn, network and advance roadway safety.

Convention Extra—available online now—helps you relive the experience if you traveled to San Diego and offers a glimpse into what you missed if you weren’t able to take part.

Check out the stories and photos from this year’s event and get the dates for 2025 on your calendar now. The next ATSSA Convention & Traffic Expo takes place Feb. 28 – March 4 in Orlando, Fla.
