Important Update -- 11th Annual Sporting Clays Event

Held in conjunction with ATSSA’s Annual Convention & Traffic Expo, this event has been very successful since starting in 2013, with interest continuing to increase.

IMPORTANT UPDATE: The management at Lemon Grove Rod & Gun Club notified us today that recent rains and the forecasted rain for Friday make it impossible to hold the ATSS Foundation Sporting Clays Event safely.

While our original plans were wiped out, we organized a Sporting Clays Lunch event at Marina Village Conference Center, where you can still network with fellow shooters, meet Roadway Worker Memorial Scholarship recipient Leah McCance, and thank our event sponsors.

The new Sporting Clays Lunch will take place at noon Friday at Marina Village Conference Center and will feature different opportunities to win prizes and plenty of delicious food and camaraderie.

Bus transportation is available from ATSSA partner hotels in the area, view the schedule.

Event Information, Registration and Sponsorships

Leave behind your guns, get out of the rain, and join us at Marina Village Conference Center.

Thank you for supporting the ATSS Foundation and helping the family members of roadway workers killed or permanently disabled in work zone incidents navigate a path forward in life.

Please contact foundation@atssa.com with questions.

Firearms Notices

IMPORTANT FIREARMS, TRAVEL, EVENT NOTICES:

Attendees wishing to participate in the 2024 Sporting Clays Event in support of the ATSS Foundation should be aware of California laws, TSA policies and hotel restrictions. View the Sporting Clays FAQs.

California state firearms restrictions require participants to bring their own shotgun. Refunds will not be provided. A limited number of demo guns will be available.

PRIZE DRAWING:

Shooters who bring their own shotgun are entered into a special prize drawing to win a $1,000 gun voucher through FFL dealer, Right 2 Bear. This prize drawing is open exclusively to participants who bring their own shotgun(s) to the event (receive one free entry per shotgun).

FFL TRANSFER OPTION:

Participants now have the opportunity to ship their firearms from their local FFL dealer to Right 2 Bear, an FFL dealer near Alpine, Calif., in advance of the event. This means that participants will not need to make concessions with hotel firearm policies.

Right 2 Bear will receive shotgun shipments from your selected outside dealer, unbox and inspect firearm condition after travel, book your firearm as a temporary hold into their system, and deliver the firearms to the respective shooters at the Feb. 2 event. Following the event, they will recollect the firearm, securely package it and ship it back to the corresponding shop the firearm arrived from.

Participants are responsible for covering all shipping and transfer fees to ship their firearm to and from the event.

ATSS Foundation is extending the early bird registration deadline to Jan. 15 for those who decide to ship their shotgun through FFL dealers.
