This global day of giving encourages people to give back to charities and causes like ATSS Foundation and our charitable programs that promote roadway safety.
Thanks to our three incredible matching supporters, your Giving Tuesday donation is QUADRUPLED! Our sincere appreciation to for driving change:
- ATSS Foundation Board Member Margaret “Peggy” McGrath and Pat Terrio, matching up to $10,000
- Arizona ATSSA Chapter, matching up to $7,500
- Horizon Signal Technologies, matching up to $5,000
Highlighted accomplishments from the first 10 months of 2025:
- Awarded 9 Roadway Worker Memorial Scholarships totaling $83,000 for the 2025-26 academic year to the dependents of men and women killed or permanently disabled in work zone incidents. The supplemental Chuck Bailey Memorial Scholarship for volunteerism is still an option for applicants.
- 20 new names were inscribed and honored on the National Work Zone Memorial.
- The National Work Zone Memorial visited 30 locations, reaching more than 25,150 people. The traveling Memorial was viewed by more than 19,370 people, while the digital version reached views by more than 5,770 people.
- Awarded two Marty Weed Engineering Scholarships to newer public agency engineers from Louisiana Department of Transportation & Development (LaDOTD) and Michigan DOT to attend ATSSA’s 2025 Convention & Traffic Expo.
- The award-winning children’s Work Zone Educational Activity Book was downloaded and distributed by the Foundation 8,318 times, while 2,422 copies of printed books were purchased. The activity book’s reach totaled 10,740 to help teach children the importance of work zone safety.
- The free National Work Zone Safe Teen Driver course was completed by 4,423 teens.
- Awarded 7 monthly $500 Foundation-sponsored scholarships for the National Work Zone Safe Teen Driver program.

- Make an online donation – Even $25 helps ATSS Foundation’s many programs support industry friends, families, and colleagues, and this year there's 4X the impact!
- Become a monthly donor – Monthly recurring donations allow supporters to spread the financial impact of their giving throughout the year. Join our monthly giving club for lasting change!
- $5 a month provides 48 work zone safety educational activity books to schools.
- $10 a month ensures fallen workers are honored and remembered on the National Work Zone Memorial.
- $50 a month provides one scholarship to a National Work Zone Safe Teen Driver course recipient.
- $100 a month ensures children of fallen and disabled work zone workers can attend college.
