Planned Giving

Make your mark – Your gift matters

You may have heard about planned giving but are not familiar with the benefits. A planned gift is quite easy – it requires some planning but helps you and our purpose. Planned giving is philanthropy that involves estate and financial planning.

When you include The ATSS Foundation in your estate planning, your investment helps to promote roadway safety through public awareness and supports the dependents of roadway workers killed or permanently disabled in work zone incidents.

Uncover the giving option that works best for your goals. Donors may choose to establish a bequest, make a qualified charitable distribution, or name The Foundation as a beneficiary in a retirement plan or life insurance policy. Individuals interested in planned giving should contact their financial planner, attorney or tax advisor to learn about their options and to make the gift most suited to their wishes and financial situation.

When you participate in planned giving with The ATSS Foundation, you can help to:

  • Provide scholarships for loved ones of fallen or permanently disabled roadway workers until we can reduce the number of work zone deaths.
  • Honor those who died in work zones, including work zone workers, motorists, pedestrians, law enforcement officers, public safety officials (i.e., firefighters and paramedics) and children through supporting the National Work Zone Memorial.
  • Give children the opportunity to work through the grief of losing a loved one in a safe space among other children going through a similar situation through Experience Camps Travel Scholarships.
  • Support the education of new engineers employed by a public agency that specialize in work zone safety and temporary traffic control through the Marty Weed Engineering Scholarship.

ATSS Foundation’s Planned Giving program enables donors to provide help for generations. Read the blog article.

The Foundation Legacy Circle was established to recognize the commitment of individuals who included The Foundation in their estate planning. We understand if you wish to remain anonymous, but we urge you to inform us of your plans by completing the gift intention form if you have decided to include The ATSS Foundation in your planned giving.

The Foundation relies on the generosity of donors to carry out its work. Make your wishes clear as you consider your charitable gift planning. Become a member of The Foundation Legacy Circle now and create a lasting legacy. Thank you to our Legacy Circle Members for your generous support.
