Roadway Safety explores HFST, advocacy, deskless workers and more
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) demonstrated the value of high friction surface treatment (HFST) in recent work in the state’s Panhandle.
That work is chronicled in the latest issue of Roadway Safety magazine, released online today. This cover story includes a chart on page 8 comparing wet-road crashes before and after implementation, which saw a significant drop.
The Spring Issue also includes these industry topics:
- A look at the strategic approach needed for communicating with deskless workers
- Exhibits, education, innovation and statistics from this year’s Convention & Traffic Expo
- Appreciation of the ATSSA volunteers who power the Association
- A glimpse at election issues from our advocacy team
- A profile on Taylor Lingafelter, a Foundation scholarship recipient whose father was killed in a work zone crash before her birth
- DOT insights from South Dakota Transportation Secretary Joel Jundt and
- A chat with Northland ATSSA Chapter President Matt Krengel.
