Don’t miss ATSSA’s Legislative Briefing & Virtual Fly-In on Sept. 15-16
Get a taste of legislative advocacy without the D.C. travel
ATSSA’s 2020 Legislative Briefing & Fly-In has gone virtual, offering members the opportunity to participate without traveling to the nation’s capital.
“If you’ve never taken part, this year’s event provides a great way to get a glimpse into legislative advocacy from the comfort of your home or office,” said ATSSA Vice President of Government Relations Nate Smith. “The Legislative Briefing & Fly-In gives ATSSA members the unique opportunity to interact directly with lawmakers and have their issues and priorities heard.”
The Sept. 15-16 event is free to members but the deadline to register is Sept. 7.
Day one includes town hall style conversations with federal lawmakers, providing rare access for dialogue with national decision makers whose actions impact the daily operations of businesses in the roadway safety industry.
Day two includes meetings with members of Congress from the ATSSA member’s state. During those meetings, members can discuss issues important to them, their geographic area and their business operations.

The annual event is traditionally held in spring, but the COVID-19 shelter-in-place orders forced a postponement to September. The event shifted to a virtual format after the host hotel announced it was closed until October and Congress put in-person meetings on hold.
ATSSA realizes the importance of effectively connecting our members with their congressional delegation to help achieve a highway bill reauthorization.
With this year’s unique virtual opportunity, every member can take part in driving his or her message to Capitol Hill without any travel costs. Register online now before it’s too late.
