2021 Convention & Traffic Expo is approaching fast

Don’t forget to register for this online event – Feb 8-12 and 16-18

ATSSA’s 2021 Convention & Traffic Expo is nearly here and final touches are being put in place. For people who have never had the opportunity to attend, this year’s event is fully online so it’s the perfect opportunity to find out what you’ve been missing and take in activities that are new this year.

Registration is open for the event that runs Feb. 8-12 and 16-18. Check out the full schedule that includes two general sessions packed with panels addressing key industry information. Plus, nearly 50 education sessions await on topics from addressing personnel challenges to the latest on technology issues including connected and automated vehicles (CAVs) and pavement markings.

Attendees can also take part in discussions with their colleagues about the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices for Streets and Highways (MUTCD) in the Conversation Lounge within the online platform. These chats will take place on the following schedule:

  • Feb. 16, Noon – 1 p.m., MUTCD Chat Parts 1&2, General discussion and signs
  • Feb. 16, 4-5 p.m., MUTCD Chat Part 3, Markings
  • Feb. 17, 2-3 p.m., MUTCD Chat Part 4, Highway traffic signals
  • Feb. 17, 4-5 p.m., MUTCD Chat Part 5, Automated vehicles
  • Feb. 18, 2-3 p.m., MUTCD Chat Part 6, Temporary Traffic Control
  • Feb. 18, 4-5 p.m., MUTCD Chat Parts 7-9, School areas, railroad crossings and bicycle facilities

And this year includes two special events. The Roadway Worker Protection Summit on Feb. 8 will address prevention tips and resources for responding if your company or agency personnel are ever involved in a work zone incident. The Workforce Development Open Forum on Feb. 10 provides an opportunity to be part of the conversation about hiring and retaining roadway safety infrastructure personnel.

“ATSSA’s 51st Annual Convention & Traffic Expo will be engaging and easy to navigate and offers dozens of informative speakers including our keynote speaker, Chad Hymas, a former construction company owner and now a quadriplegic who will talk about the value of being able to navigate change amidst unexpected circumstances,” said ATSSA President & CEO Stacy Tetschner.

Be on hand for the announcement of ATSSA’s Industry Achievement Award, National Safety Award and Mark of Excellence Award and check out the latest industry innovations during the New Products Rollout. And, as a special feature this year, ATSSA’s Circle of Innovation will be open to all attendees.

And, as for the fun, you won’t want to miss the kickoff video where your team might be featured, ATSSA’s Got Talent: Battle of the Bands Edition in which you get to vote for the winner, and networking opportunities throughout this two week-event.

ATSSA’s Annual Convention & Traffic Expo is North America’s premier gathering of roadway safety industry professionals and the place to make vital connections with public agency officials, industry experts and colleagues who share your passion for advancing roadway safety.

Be there from the comfort of your home, your office or anywhere you care to take part. And don’t forget to register.
