Message from the President

Dear Friends of The Foundation,

The American Traffic Safety Services Foundation (The Foundation) celebrates its 30th year in 2018! What better way to kick things off than to send out a resounding "Thank You!" for your contribution to our success!?

Thank you to the sponsors and participants of our annual fundraising efforts – the Golf Classic Tournament and the Sporting Clay Event. These affairs continue to provide a large portion of the funds The Foundation uses for scholarship and awareness programs. A special thanks to the event title sponsors - Potters Industries (Golf Classic) and Pexco/Davidson Traffic Control Products (Sporting Clays Event).

Thank you to the corporate and individual donors for your continued support. Individual donors are instrumental in our success and corporate sponsorship ideas continue to provide amazing results on behalf of The Foundation. The 3M Pledge Wall at ATSSA’s Annual Convention & Traffic Expo, Ennis-Flint and D2K Traffic Equipment & Design’s employee payroll deduction campaign, casino night hosted by Waterblasting Technologies, Road-Tech Safety Services’ social media campaign, and the Horizon Signal Technologies’ equipment auction are just a few of the awesome and unique fundraising ideas that our members have devised.

It’s a good thing, too. Last year we implored our members to help us reach out and find additional candidates for both the Roadway Worker Memorial Scholarship and Experience Camp Travel Scholarship opportunities – and it worked! The Foundation had eight candidates apply for the Roadway Worker Memorial Scholarship for the 2018-2019 academic year. I’m happy to report that we awarded a scholarship to all eight candidates!

Additionally, for the first time since we began the Experience Camp Travel Scholarship program, we have several interested candidates. We know these children will benefit greatly from this encounter, and we can’t wait to get their feedback!

We continue to ask for your support and you keep responding well beyond our expectations. Please keep up the great work. I can’t wait to see what we can do in the next 30 years!
